has been riding bikes since his early teens. For twelve of his sixteen year career with the Maryland State Police, he rode with the Motor Unit and instructed countless other law enforcement motor men and women from across the country. Since his retirement from MSP, he has continued to ride his 1992 HD Fatboy as often as he gets the chance. Throughout his riding history, he has worked on bikes of all makes and models. He is a certified Harley Davidson mechanic and has maintained Evolution Cycles, Inc since 1994 where he provides parts and service for most makes of motorcycles to Southern Maryland and the surrounding areas.
As of 2011, Evolution Cycles, Inc “evolved” into Evolution Cycles and Sports, Inc to reflect our growing scuba instruction program. In addition to riding bikes, Rich is also an experienced scuba diver. He was briefly a part of the Underwater Recovery Team while in the Maryland State Police and dived in a variety of conditions. He holds a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer certification, and has been teaching scuba for over twenty five years. His favorite place to dive is North Carolina, where he descends to depths of over 100 feet on shipwrecks inhabited by sharks and barracuda. He loves conveying his passion for diving to students and has taught children and adults alike. He chose to add “and Sports” to his existing business to reflect his desire to make scuba instruction a more major part of his life. As a result, we now offer scuba classes, trips and gear sales through our shop. |
